Government Reveals Apprenticeships Plummeted Due to Introduction of Levy
Published Date: 24th November 2017
Industry Statistics: According to new data from the Department for Education, the number of people starting apprenticeships in England fell by 59.3% year-on-year in May-July 2017, prompted by the introduction of the apprenticeship levy on 6 April 2017. The Department for Education had anticipated an initial fall, suggesting that, because employers have two years to spend training funds, many are still formulating new schemes.
