Central Arbitration Committee Issues Ruling on Employment Status of Deliveroo Riders

Employment Law Ruling: The Central Arbitration Committee, the non-departmental Government body that resolves collective worker disputes, has ruled that because Deliveroo couriers have the right to allocate a substitute to do the work for them in their contracts, they are self-employed contractors and not workers.
