Government Rejects Overhaul of Alcohol Licensing Laws

Sector Reforms: The government has rejected calls from a House of Lords committee for a radical overhaul of licensing laws in England and Wales. The government will instead use the committee's recommendations to spur further work in respect of how the system can be made to function more effectively.
