EU Competition Official Warns That Algorithms Must Respect Competition Rules

EU Policy: Businesses that use computer algorithms to control the way they price their goods must ensure that their software operates in line with EU competition law and can be held liable if illegal behaviour takes place through algorithms, according to the director-general for competition, Johannes Laitenberger.
