EU Proposes Draft Regulation on Screening Foreign Investments

New: The EU has proposed a new regulation to establish a framework for screening foreign investments that raise security or public order concerns. Under the draft regulation, the EU will be able to prohibit foreign investments that fall short of acquisitions of control. EU governments will be required to share information on foreign investments with each other and with the European Commission.
