EU Commission Consults on Batteries Directive

Regulator Consultation: The European Commission is inviting views from all interested parties on whether the Batteries Directive is meeting its objectives and contributing to the general objectives of the EU environmental policy. The Directive aims to maximise the separate collection of waste batteries and accumulators, and to minimise the disposal of spent batteries as mixed municipal waste.
