Committee of Advertising Practice to Draft New Advertising Rules to Tackle Gender Stereotypes

Industry Regulation: The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) will draw up new standards to toughen its stance against marketing that reinforces gender stereotypes, according to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The CAP will also look to clarify standards that reflect the ASA's regulatory position on ads that objectify or inappropriately sexualise women and girls.
