Sentencing Council Consults on Tougher Sentencing in Manslaughter Cases

Law Consultation: The Sentencing Council is inviting views from all interested parties on proposed guidelines for sentencing in manslaughter cases. Under the guidelines, employers and other offenders could face a prison sentence of between six and 12 years where there is evidence of persistent negligence over a period of weeks.
