UK Government to Enhance Protections for Holidaymakers and Support Travel Companies

Industry Regulation: The UK has announced a new bill to update the Air Travel Organisers’ Licence (ATOL) travel protection scheme with a view to enhancing protections for holidaymakers. Companies selling holidays across Europe will be able to trade under the ATOL scheme rather than the regimes in each country they sell to.
