Historic EU Ruling Could See Restrictions on Chemical Found in Plastics

EU Policy: The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has ruled that bisphenol A, a chemical found in CDs, DVDs, kettles and water bottles, poses a threat to human health. ECHA is now expected to recommend restrictions on the use of bisphenol A under the EU’s Reach regulation, possibly as soon as 2018.
