EU Adopts Medical Devices Rules

Industry Regulation: The EU Council has adopted new rules to improve the safety of medical devices for the benefit of patients while preserving speedy access to innovative healthcare solutions. The scope of the rules has been extended to include certain products which do not have a specifically medical purpose, such as coloured contact lenses.
