EU Rules Assessors Obliged to Act on Substandard Medical Devices

EU Ruling: The EU Court of Justice has ruled that assessors of medical devices must look into claims that those devices fall short of safety standards where there is evidence to support those claims. Assessors must take all necessary steps to ensure that manufacturers of non-compliant devices duly fulfil the obligations imposed by the approved quality system.
