EU to Overhaul E-Privacy Legislation

EU Regulation: The European Commission has announced a proposed new regulation to replace the existing e-Privacy Directive. The regulation sets out new rules on the use of 'cookies' and other "device fingerprinting" technologies as well as direct marketing via electronic communications.
